Shotton Community Festival makes a welcome return and took place this year on Saturday 2nd October, after not being able to commence for 2 years due to Covid-19.
The day was non-stop from start to finish with around 600 people attending throughout the day. There were many attractions including, animal antics, music from local band twister, entertainment from Kevin Mangles, Noble’s funfair rides, performances from Ilett Carr School of Dance, a climbing wall from Just Climb, stalls and a tombola.
The event was funded by the Co-op Local Community Fund and the Locality Bright Ideas Fund, with Shotton Parish Council making a contribution to the day, as well as general fundraising by the festival committee.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the day after a long wait for it to return.
